TATA TISCON TMT BAR
Tata Tiscon Super Ductile (SD) Rebars are the new standard in earthquake-resistant construction! A mark of the unmatched trust of Tata Steel, Tata Tiscon SD rebars are India’s leading TMT Steel rebars, manufactured using industry-leading innovative automation. Made from virgin iron ore and pure steel, every rebar is the perfect balance of unbreakable strength, unbeatable ductility and unprecedented technological advancement. So lay an unshakable foundation for your dream home with Tata Tiscon SD Rebars!
Elongation
With a minimum elongation of 18% and a total elongation of a minimum 7.5% at max force, Tata Tiscon SD Rebars can bear great weight, stretch under pressure, and return to their original shape and size.
Stress Absorption
Tata Tiscon SD Rebars have uniform stress-bearing capacity of 500 MPa. As opposed to ordinary rebars that crack over time, SD rebars can absorb extreme pressure and stand strong.
Superior Ductility
Especially suited for construction in seismic zones, Tata Tiscon SD rebars have a high ductility ratio of more than 1.5. This allows them to bend but not break, especially in case of earthquakes
Uniform Ridges
Uniform ridges, parallel ribs & superior bond strength ensure that concrete around the rebars does not crack or dust off due to continued wear & tear through the years, as opposed to ordinary rebars.
Earthquake Resistant SD Rebars
54% of India lies above volatile Himalayan and Eurasian tectonic plates and is highly prone to earthquakes of different magnitudes. Keeping in line with high international quality standards, Tata Tiscon SD rebars are especially suited for construction in these earthquake-prone areas. Earthquakes cannot be predicted or prevented, but, the damage they cause to your home can be controlled! With their unique capacity to absorb large amounts of pressure, Tata Tiscon SD rebars bend but do not break and protect your dream home!
Superior Savings
Save between 5-15% in rebar requirements with Tata Tiscon SD rebars. With Tata Tiscon SD, you can spend less to build a stronger home.
Unmatched Quality
Tata Tiscon SD rebars are made from virgin iron ore. Their superior chemistry makes them the perfect choice for your dream home.
Unprecedented Technology
Made with an automated manufacturing process, Tata Tiscon SD rebars are cooled using the Tempcore TMT online quenching process.

KEY FEATURES:
APPLICATION
Premier TMT Bars have excellent ductility and higher fatigue strength, which make them suitable for structures and foundations that are subject to dynamic and seismic loading. They also possess excellent weld-ability because carbon is restricted below 25% and are resistant to fire hazards with no loss of strength up to 300 degrees Celsius. Better bend-ability also makes them easily workable at site and they are used in a wide range of applications:

The strength of the bars are carefully controlled by optimizing the water pressure for their pearlitic core and tough surface of tempered martensite, thereby providing an optimum strength, ductility and toughness. TMT bars are widely used in general purpose concrete reinforcement structures, bridges and flyovers, dams, thermal and hydel power plants, industrial structures, high-rise buildings, underground platforms in metro railway and rapid transport systems. TMT Bars are thermo-mechanically-treated through leading world temp core-based technology for high yield strength. The process involves rapid quenching of the hot bars through a series of water jets after they roll out of the last mill stand. The bars are cooled, allowing the core and surface temperatures to equalize. The bar core cools down slowly to turn into a ferrite-pearlite aggregate. Kamdhenu Limited, Bhiwadi unit has been authorized to manufacture Tempcore TMT under license agreement.

Features of SAIL TMT
Bond Strength
The bond strength of all SAIL TMT-EQR bars has been tested at the National Test House, Alipore, Kolkata and meets IS 1786-2008 norms.
Weldability
SAIL TMT-EQR bars are perfectly weldable by the normal process of welding with suitable electrodes. They are also weldable without preheating, preferably with low hydrogen electrodes. The weldability of SAIL TMT-EQR bars has been tested and certified by the Welding Research Institute, Trichy.
Bendability
All SAIL TMT-EQR bars have lower bend diameter compared to specified bend diameter as per IS 1786-2008, Grade D specification. This allows easier bending with less effort and thus facilities easier onsite works.
Fire Resistance
All SAIL TMT-EQR bars are able to withstand fire hazard when enclosed in concept up to 600 C, whereas ordinary TMT start losing its mechanical properties from 250 C
Corrosion Resistance
SAIL TMT-EQR is also available in corrosion-resistant variety (HCR) with modified chemical compositions to give an enhanced resistance to seismic and corrosive atmospheric conditions.
