Thermocouples

anupam produces top of the line temperature sensing devices also known as thermocouples. A thermocouple is a sensor for measuring temperature. It consists of two dissimilar metals, joined together at one end. When the junction of the two metals is heated or cooled a voltage is produced that can interpreted by a temperature controller, high limit or display device. There are two common constructions for these: tube and wire and mineral insulated. The tube and wire uses an empty stainless tube with a wire inside which has a welded tip incorporating the wire junction. This construction is typically used to 480c. The mineral insulated construction uses a highly compacted stainless sheath with solid conductors encased in magnesium oxide insulation. This construction offers a wider variety of diameters, allows for the sensors to be bent in the field and for temperatures to 1200c. These sensors are available is a huge range of physical packages with a variety of lead wire, housing, and mounting options.

in mineral insulated (mi) thermocouples, elements are surrounded by compact inorganic insulation (mgo) and housed in stainless steel or heat resistant alloy sheath to protect it from environment. Mi thermocouples have a lot of advantages as compared to conventional beaded thermocouples. These thermocouples are available in long lengths which can easily be wound into coils making them easy to transport. They can be flattened or bends without affecting the sheath or the cores. This flexibility enables them to be easily installed. They have a small sheath diameter allowing the thermocouple to be placed in smaller areas. Ceramic is a brittle material and when placed as beads may succumb under conditions with vibrations. Mi thermocouples have high vibration strength which make them apt for such applications. These thermocouples are tested to ensure high quality. All assemblies are tested for insulation resistance, visual & dimensional checks, and single point calibration. Other tests offered "conductor loop resistance", "specific temperature calibration", "nitrogen leak test", "hot ir test".

Insulation Jackets For Band Heaters

Barrel Jackets can be used on any brand of Injection Molding Machine. Their primary use lies in Saving Money by insulating the barrel from the Heat Loss. This in turn requires the Heater Bands to cycle less and lower electricity consumption.

By using these insulation jackets, you establish a thermal barrier that impedes temperature dissipation released to its surrounding which permits us to keep the heat generated where it should be, inside the barrel of the machinery.

CREAMIC INSULATED HEATING COOLING FINS

Historically, liquid cooled Cast-In Heaters have been the more frequently employed method of controlling the melt temperature of extrusion barrels. There is no doubt about the effectiveness and speed of liquid cooled castings in removing heat from the extrusion process. However, there are a number of drawbacks that primarily relate to maintenance-associated issues. Air Cooled Band Heaters are virtually maintenance free and therefore, when properly installed and applied, have the capability to far outlast their liquid cooled counterparts. Since cooling tubes are not used, the possibility of breakage, cracking or becoming clogged with brine or mineral deposits is not a concern.

Additionally, Air Cooled Band Heaters do not require an expensive cooling tower or heat exchange system, extensive plumbing systems and labor for installation. These factors along with the benefit of being maintenance free make Anupam's Air Cooled Band Heaters an economical and practical source for your extrusion heating and cooling application.

Anupam's Blowers normally use forward curved impellers made of galvanized steel, which are press fitted on the Rotor of External Rotor Motor, making the unit compact. Single inlet signifies that the Air is drawn from one side of the Blower only. The Rotor with impeller is dynamically Balanced in two planes, for vibration free running during its entire life. The assembly of Motor and Impeller is essentially mounted in a technically designed Housing for optimum performance. The External Rotor Motor is cooled with the air stream flowing over it.
