Sharp Vision1550nm Externally Modulated Optic Transmitter adopts narrow bandwidth (0.65 MHz), low noise DFB Laser. It is used in very large CATV Systems for distribution of 1550nm signal to cable systems in different cities, colonies.
A mix of analog and digital channels can be transmitted upto 200Km with the help of EDFA and dispersion compensation.
