What makes compact substations an ideal choice over traditional substations is that they are a complete solution that can easily fit into any configuration based on the customer's needs. We deliver compact substation transformers to different electrical utilities and industrial & commercial sectors. Our substation, like the 1000 kva compact substation, can pay for itself many times over when it is in use.
The core function of a step down transformer is to convert high voltage, low current power into low voltage, high current power. The conversion process begins when the primary coil receives AC current or voltage. This creates a fluctuating magnetic field of voltage around the conductor, which activates the secondary conductor coil.
Transformers feature either copper or aluminum coils, also called windings. However, their working process depends on the model type and the number of windings they have. You can find aluminum as well as copper wound transformers at Amson Transformers. We use only quality and graded raw materials to manufacture our range of conventional type distribution transformers. We build and supply transformers that are highly reliable, durable, and cost-effective. We have a strong customer base in India as well as in the International market.
They are used to step up and step down voltages at the power generation and distribution stations. The major role of these transformers is to reduce power loss during power transmission. Our power plant transformers are designed to exceed the highest safety standards and meet specific customers' requirements. We have a team of engineers who takes customer requirements and turn them into designs with an emphasis on safety. As a leading power transformer manufacturers in India, we have leveraged latest technology to produce world-class products for more than 33+ years.
Not only does the distribution transformer step up the voltage to the power supply area, but also steps down the voltage at all levels. Electrical distribution transformers are classified into two types as per the cooling mediums: oil-filled transformers and dry-type cast resin transformers. These copper wound distribution transformers are used for raising and lowering the voltage level in the electrical circuits. Amson Transformers, being one of the top electrical distribution transformers manufacturers in India, provide electrical transformers at affordable prices.
Off-load tap-changing mechanisms, which are typically found in smaller distribution transformers, require the transformer to be isolated before the tap settings can be adjusted. We are a well-known name among off load tap changer transformer suppliers in India, offering the best-quality transformers to customers. We have manufactured and delivered the best quality range of transformers with tap changers to meet the requirements of our clients. All our products including 630 kva transformer with OLTC is made with high-quality raw materials in adherence to industry standards.
Booster transformers are used in electric railway AC catenary feeders to collect the return current from the rails and the earth to the return conductor.
In railways, the electric current is taken from the catenary conductor to the locomotive, where the energy is used by electric motors and fed to the earth-connected rails, which are part of the return circuit. From the rails, however, the return current may deviate around to unintended or harmful places like metallic pipelines, bridges, communication cables, etc. The stray currents bring about interference in communication systems and other electronic devices due to passing trains. Booster transformers are used to eliminate the stray currents and the disturbances, obliging the return current to flow to the return conductor.
Product scope:
Primary voltage: 15 or 25 kV
Current: usually 200 - 800 A
Frequencies: 16.67, 25, 50 or 60 Hz
Power ratings: 100-800 kVA
Hermetically sealed tank
Furnace transformers are used to step down from voltages between 11 and 33 kV to levels of several hundred volts only. This results in massive secondary currents.
Furnace Transformers are special & sophisticated Transformers designed and tuned to the inverter circuit which applies a medium frequency (generally 500 Hz or 1000 Hz) voltage to the Induction coil.
As a result, the transformer has a regulating or tap winding that is connected to the OLTC. The main components of these transformers are contact systems for the make and break currents, as well as spring energy accumulators, and a drive mechanism are the main components of an OLTC. Our on-load tap changer features an integrated design, transition resistors, and liquid insulation. The product is used to change transformer taps under the workload and adjust the output voltage. The transformer on-load tap changer has a diverter switch and tap selector. These transformers have a compact design that ensures space saving. Our OLTC transformers are built to meet the highest operational parameters and industry standards.
