These are Shell Type Transformers manufactured using standard E & I laminations from Type 17 to 8 covering a range from 1 VA to 2500 VA as per IS 6297.
he purpose of a distribution transformer is to reduce the primary voltage of the electric distribution system to the utilization voltage serving the customer. A distribution transformer is a static device constructed with two or more windings used to transfer alternating currentelectric power by electromagnetic induction from one circuit to another at the samefrequency but with different values of voltage and current.

Standard:The transformers are manufactured in accordance with IS 2026/1977 or as per customers requirements.
Range:5 KVA 2000 KVA (6.6 KV, 11KV, 22KV, 33KV) Vector Group & Tappings: The transformers are connected as per vector group reference Dyn 11 in accordance with international practice. Tappings are provided with +/- 5% in steps of 2.5% or as per customers requirements.
These are designed for 6 Pulse or 12 Pulse rectifiers to reduce ripple in DC circuit.
