Ribbon blenders are widely used for homogeneous mixing of dry granules & powders. The blender comprises a 'U' shaft with two sets of spiral ribbons, one inside the other. Inner and outer ribbons are perfectly arranged, that during rotation, the material reaches each corner of the trough and imparts radial & linear motion to the whole of the material to be mixed. The use of heat for effective sterilization has a long history, but with the advent of certain materials like plastic rubber etc., which are damaged by high temperatures of 121oC or 136oC materials can be damaged by excessive moisture. The alternative method which can sterilize medical goods at much lower temperatures i.e., 37oC or 50oC was found out way back in the 1940s when researchers came out with the method of gaseous sterilization and the gas used was ETHYLENE OXIDE (C2H4O). Ethylene Oxide is used to sterilize range of medical surgical devices, Dehydrated agricultural products, herbal extracts, spices etc. It is a DRY and COLD process, except LIQUIDS of all items can be sterilized safely and most effectively. ETO has got excellent permeability and is an effective sterilizing agent. It destroys all known micro-organisms viz. Thermopiles bacteria, spores, viruses and fungi etc. under specific conditions.

Construction of Paste Kettle Vessel

Paste Kettle Vessel Will Be Made Out Of S.S. 304 Rectangular Pipes Of 3 Mm Thk And Will Be An Independent Resting Type Frame Work Where No Foundation Will Be Required. The Kettle Will Be A Hemispherical Type Bowl With Either Steam / Oil / Water Heating Jacket Will Be Provided. The Kettle Will Be Manufactured From 2.5 Mm Thk S.S. 304 Sheet And The Jacket Will Be Of 2.5 Mm Mild Steel (In Case Of Steam Jacket The Thickness Will Be 4 Mm). There Will Be Oil / Water Heated Fitted At The Back Bottom Side Of The Kettle. The Kettle Will Be Having A Worm Type Arrangement For Tilting. A Temperature Controller And A Temp Indicator Will Be Provided For Temp Control And Indication. The Kettle Will Be Insulated With 50 Mm Thk Glass wool Insulation And Claded With 16 Swg S.S. 304 Sheet. Kettle Will Be Buffed To 150 Grit Matt Finish Externally And Internally The Kettle Will Be Buffed To 220 Grit Mirror Finish.

Bead Mills reduce particles to sub micron size. Consisting of a cylindrical vessel that contains a motor-driven central shaft, which is equipped with impellers of different types. Bead mill comes with an enclosed vessel. While operating this enclosed vessel is filled with grinding media, agitator shaft activates media, creating shearing and strong forces. Rotation of agitator imparts energy to surrounding media. Forces either fracture, tear, or crush particulate. It can be operated continuously since it is equipped with devices, which retain the beads within the milling chamber. Then the final product is evenly dispersed in liquid. This bead mills are batch process machine for size reduction and dispersing of paints, inks, coatings etc. The bead mill consists of a grinding vessel inside which rotates a shaft fitted with impeller disc. The grinding media and the charged material are filled into the vessel and the shaft is run at a very high speed for a particular time till dispersion is achieved. Vessel with jacket arrangements is provided as a standard feature.

Suitable for homogenous mixing of dry powders of different bulk densities used in the Food, Mineral, Pharmaceutical, Paint & Chemical Industries. It is a simple versatile mixer which can also mix semi wet material. Ribbons of various designs are available to handle different materials. The mixer consists of a cylindrical shell inside which rotates a double helix shaft fitted with spiral inner and outer ribbons. During rotation of the shaft, the ribbons lift, convey and intermix the material to get a homogenous mass in short intervals. Discharge is from the bottom by a quick opening valve.

This type of Ribbon mixer is made up of S.S. or M.S. material. The sides of theRibbon blenderare also made up of S.S. or M.S. material. It consists of a centre shaft of appropriate diameter and are either made of S.S. or M.S.material. The centre shaft is fitted with specially designed agitator blades in order to provide contraflow action. All the material in the mixer is constantly circulated from one end to the other. In larger mixer it is provided with inner and outer ribbons Sweeps maybe added to the outer ribbon to provide through clean out. The outer ribbons move ingredients towards the discharge while the inner ribbons contantly circulated material in opposite direction. The either ends of the vessel are provided with stuffing boxes on the shaft diameter. This stuffing box prevents leakage of material and also prevents material from entering into the bearings. The shaft is supported on heavy duty pedestals. TheRibbon Blender mixeris provided with a hopper and discharge. The drive consists of a suitable gear box coupled to the motor.
