IE 2 Motors (AN Series) manufactured by Amber are High Efficiency Motors satisfying the IE2 Efficiency Level as mentioned in IEC 60034 1. All AN Series motors ranging from 63 to 200L are manufactured and tested inhouse. These motors have robust Cast Iron Enclosure and are even light in weight than conventional motors. IE2 Amber motors are assembled with high quality CRNO magnetic thin lamination sheets and EN8 material grounded shafts. Rotors of these motors are dynamically balanced to
ensure vibration free working as well as decrease chances of maintenance and give a longer life to the motor. These motors are wounded with modified polyester enameled copper wire (IS 13730, Part 03, Thermal Class 155C) and insulation is Class F with permissible temperature rise limited to Class B which allows 25C reserve thermal capacity. Bearings used in these motors being appropriately lubricated double sealed make sure that there are no frictions generated which may electrically as well as mechanically harm the motor. In AN Series (90 to 132M Frame) motors there is major flexibility of mounting the connection box on any of the three sides on request.
AO Series Eff2 motors are Electric Motors with Standard Efficiency in accordance with IS 12615. All AO Series motors ranging from 71 to 132M are heavy duty, stout constructed and rugged motors completely manufactured and tested with latest available technology within our factory premises. Amber EFF2 motors are equipped with best CRNO magnetic lamination sheets, appropriately lubricated double sealed ball bearings and EN8 material grounded shafts.
These motors are wounded with modified polyester enameled copper wire (IS 13730, Part 03, Thermal Class 155C) and insulation is Class E. Eff2 Amber motors are vibration free as rotors of these motors are dynamically balanced which also results into low maintenance cost. Terminal Box position of all the AO Series motors are on the right hand side as viewed from the shaft end which can be changed to left side on request.
Multispeed motor is a single motor with different combinations of any of the two or three speeds. Applications of these motors are wide and very beneficial as a single motor can run in different speeds with same output. In Amber dual speed motors any combination of any two poles is possible between 2, 4, 6 and 8 poles. In these motors the power at higher speed is much larger than at lower speed. It is because the torque demanded for this kind of applications varies as the square of the speed. The power ratings of two speed winding can be very different within certain limits which are determined by the torque or power at a certain speed of the driven machine or device by the motor. In some applications the required torques and powers are identical to each other at different motor speeds for example milling and turning machine applications, also in some applications the required torques and powers can be different for example fan applications. Amber manufactures such motors in all the types of motors with dahlander as well as separate windings whichever is suitable. All the mechanical specifications and dimensions of the Dual speed Amber Motors are same as AN Series or AO Series.
Capacitor Start & Run (CSCR) Motors are combination of both PSC and CSIR motors. Every CSCR motor has a start-type capacitor in series with the auxiliary winding like the capacitor-start motor for high starting torque. And, like a PSC motor, it also has a run-type capacitor that is in series with the auxiliary winding after the start capacitor is switched out of the circuit. This allows high breakdown or overload torque. Advantage of Amber CSCR motor is that it is such designed that it consumes lower full-load current and gives higher efficiency. CSCR motor is a real power house which are able to handle applications too demanding for any other kind of single-phase motor which include woodworking machinery, air compressors, high-pressure water pumps, vacuum pumps and other high torque applications.
Three phase AC Brake motors offered by Amber consist of AC Electromagnetic Fail Safe Brake Unit mounted on the non-drive end of the motor and coupled directly to the shaft of the motor. The brake in these motors will apply whenever the power to the brake is cut off. These motors are availed with or without cooling fan based on the application and requirement. Application of AC Three phase brake motors are in lifts, hoists, conveyors and other applications where the frequency of switching the brake On-Off is very low. The major care to take while operating these motors is to check that power to motor and brake are cut off simultaneously otherwise the motor or brake may get damaged.
Three phase DC Brake motors offered by Amber consist of DC Electromagnetic Fail Safe OR Normally off Brake Unit mounted on the non-drive end of the motor and coupled directly to the shaft of the motor. The brake unit being DC wound is powered through a rectifier or bridge. The brake in DC Fail Safe brake motors will apply whenever the power to the brake via rectifier or bridge is cut off and vice versa in the Normally off brake units. These motors are availed with or without cooling fan based on the application and requirement. Application of DC Three phase brake motors are in machine tools and other applications where the frequency of switching the brake On-Off is very high.
