White Safflower Seeds

Safflower is an annual species in the same plant family as sunflower. This crop is adapted to dry land or irrigated cropping systems. Each seed germinates and produces a central stem that does not elongate for two to three weeks, and develops leaves near the ground in a rosette, similar to a young thistle. The slow growth of seedlings in early spring often results in a weedy crop.
