FEATURESAKSHI ENGINEERSengaged in offering supreme quality Automatic Rake type Cooling Bed that is primarily used for purpose of naturally uniform air-cooling of TMT bars and transporting the same in a phased manner.
This transporting is done from the entry of the cooling bed to discharge side. In this, the front end of the bars is also leveled at the discharge side and a fixed number of bars are sent for final length cutting by cold shear and bundling.
The mechanism of our cooling bed assures that the bars are uniformly positioned over the toothed racks. Our cooling bed is designed considering the finishing mill stand of the mill and cooling time required for the various sizes of the bar.
COMPLETE SYSTEM COMPRISESFIXED GRIDStraightening racks comprising cast iron toothed blocks that assist in receiving bars and straightening it at temperature of around 600oC
MOVING RAKESMovable rack mechanism to move in 'X' and 'Y' axis which will be profile cut to suit smallest size as well as maximum bar size. Drive for movable rack mechanism comprising motors driving two parallel sets of drive shafts.

Reheating Furnaceis the heart of any hot rolling mill where in the charge is heated to rolling temperature. The charge could be in the form of billets, blooms, slabs or ingots. The type of furnace could be pusher, walking hearth or walking beam either top fired or top and bottom fired.
OPERATIONThe fuel used could be either oil or gas. The burners are located in a manner so as to achieve uniform heat distribution. The radiation heat energy is efficiently transferred through the useful heat transfer area created by the charge bed. The furnace is basically divided into three zones namely preheating, heating and soaking zones. The actual heating takes place in the heating zone. The temperature uniformity up to desired limits between the core and the surface is achieved in the soaking zone. The flue gases move in a direction opposite to that of the charge thereby ensuring considerable amount of waste heat recovery by convection in the preheating zone, which is also termed as the recuperative zone.
DESIGNAKSHI ENGINEERSdesigned furnaces are highly fuel efficient due to proper roof profile / zonal distribution, optimum preheating / recuperative zone lengths, proper burner / flue port locations and good instrumentation including furnace chamber pressure control eliminating atmosphere air ingress, which also reduces the scale loss and decarbonizes of the charge.
AUTOMATIONAKSHI ENGINEERShas in house Electrical Automation facility so we also provide the Furnaces with Automation by using Oxygen analyzer and other measuring equipments along with PLC and SCADA automation to control the air and fuel proportionally which will save the fuel consumption.
AKSHI ENGINEERSmanufactures complete bar handling system which auatomates the rolling mill plant till the end product. Akshi Engineers makes bar handling systems, bar counting system, bar bending system and bar tying or bundling system.
AKSHI ENGINEERSdesigns technical upgraded Chain Transfer Systems, which are installed at the side of run out roller table after the cold shear.
In this, the first chain set cuts across the run out roller table after the cold shear. It has its resting on the common tie bar, which is fixed with the pneumatic cylinders. The cut bar lot in the system received on the run-out roller table, where the chains set lifts. Here, the chain moves across the rolling line & shifts the cut bar lot to the set distance of the chain transfers.
Further, the middle chain runs at superior speed to spread bar for removing the random length and the third chain for manual bundling. Therefore, in last the bundle is thrown in the cradle or on to some other roller table where transferring it to Automatic Bundling or to Automatic U- bending station is done.
BAR HANDLING AREAFinishing equipment includes the automatic staking, bundling, binding, weighing and labeling of rolled products.
STACKER AND BUILDING SYSTEMSStackers provides handling of straight and reverse layers for all type of sections. Mechanical handling or Magnetic handling of the straight and reverse layer with high stacking cycle performance. Stackers provide built-in bundling function. Bundlers for round and flat bars are available together with bar counting for rounds and small bundle processing systems. The packing form can be round, square, rectangular and hexagonal.
BINDING SYSTEMSAutomatic binding of the packages and bundles is available with wire or strapping.
WEIGHING & LABELINGAll bundles can be automatically weighed and further labeled for quality assured delivery of the finished products.
AKSHI ENGINEERSmanufacturing High speed Pinch used at different location in rolling mill along with before TMT quenching box and after TMT quenching box to provide consistent Tension of the Bar. The use of 2 Hi Gear Box, Solid Rolls with Cardon Shaft provided in these DC Pinch Rolls helps in achieving uniformity in operations.
FEATURESAutomatic Bundling Machine finds usage in wire rod steel plants for folding bundle of TMT Bars & Steel bars. The machine meet the demands of bundling and packaging hexagon, round, square rods and tubes. Other than this, these also meet the demands of bundling round and flat bars.
FEATURESFor optimized rolling between stands, loopers maintain a loop to ensure that there is no tension in the rolled material.

FEATURESShears are Stop/Start and continuous operating type and driven by the Direct DC Motor Drive. These are controlled through PLC system. Hence very close tolerance of cut length is achieved.
These Shears are used to cut cooling bed lengths (Surface Temperature around 350C min.)These Shears are generally installed after Quenching line & before entry to Cooling Bed.
