Welcome to Akram Traders
*Micro Silica for Concrete / Construction Application* We are the leading manufacturers, exporters, technical developers & supplier of Micro Silica. Micro Silica (“Grey White”) is a mineral admixture of very solid glassy spheres of silicon dioxide (Sio2). Each particle is less than micron in diameter, generally 50 to 100 times finer than average cement or fly ash particles. Frequently called condensed Microsilica. Micro Silica is byproduct of the industrial manufacture of Rice Husk Ash (RHA). It helps in compressive strength, bond strength and abrasion resistance. Addition of Micro Silica also reduces the permeability of Concrete to chloride ions, which protects the reinforcing steel of concrete from corrosion, especially in chloride-rich environments such as coastal regions & those of humid continental roadways& runways (because of the use of deicing salts) & saltwater bridges. Micro Silica reduced bleeding significantly because of the free water is consumed in wetting of the large surface area of the Micro Silica and hence the free water left in the mix for bleeding also decreases. Micro Silica also blocks the pores in the fresh concrete so water within the concrete is not allowed to come to the surface. *ADVANTAGES* • Increased Compressive Strength • Significantly Increases Concrete Durability • Improved Insulation Properties • Reduced Thermal Cracking • Lower water & Permeability • Resistance to Abrasion • Better Corrosion Resistance • Significantly reduces Alkali-silica reactivity • Provides excellent resistance to sulphur or seawater attacks • Beneficial in all types of high strength concrete application. *MICROSILICA APPLICATION* • Concrete • Refractory • High Performance Concrete • Cementation Repair Products • Concrete Tile & Panels • Oil & Gas Industry • Ceramics, Concrete Roofing.
