Torsion Tester

For maximum versatility and capability, Tinius Olsen offers a full range of torsion testing machines in capacities from 10, 000 to 300, 000 in.lbf or kg.cm (1, 000 to 30, 000 N.m). Higher capacity and other longer length models are available upon request. These uniquely superior torsion testers provide loading and weighing capabilities in both directions of rotation. This feature makes it possible to conveniently determine not only the ultimate torque of a specimen, but also how that specimen behaves under conditions of continuous or intermittent torque loading in both directions. Essentially, each torsion tester comprises a variable speed drive loading system and a digital control and indicating system in a fixed section of the machine. The weighing head with its strain gage torque sensor is mounted on a movable section that can be positioned on rails to accommodate specimens of varying lengths. Our 10, 000 in.lbf (1, 000 N.m) torsion tester is bench mountable and the moveable section slides on a guide rail.

Micro-Vickers Hardness Tester FH-4 Series

FH-4 series allows micro Vickers & Knoop testing on wide variety of materials. The test force can be selected with help of an easy-to-operate selector knob on the side of tester. FH-4 is equipped with optical device (analog or digital microscope) & many optional accessories like CCD camera, software, motorised XYZ movement etc. for advance measurements. KEY FEATURES Motorized turret High resolution electronic microscope, digital value transfer Conversion to other hardness scales Motorized load control Statistics and conversions X-Y stage with 0.01 mm (.00039) resolution Built-in high speed printer Second optical or video path The FH-4 series allows testing workpieces of a wide variety. The test force can be selected with the help of an easy-to-operate selector knob on the side of the tester. Replacing any weights is not necessary. The tester does the full range up to 2 kg (4.4 lbs) by just turning the selector knob to the required force position. The test range of the FH-4 series is quite unique for a traditional micro-hardness tester and is distinguished by high accuracy, flexibility, and operational efficiency.

Aggregate Impact Tester (AIM 456)

It is for determining the aggregate impact value and has been designed in accordance with IS:2386 (Part 4 ), IS:9377. The sturdy construction consists of a base and support columns to form a rigid frame work around the quick release trigger mechanism to ensure an effective free fall of the hammer during test. The free fall can be adjusted through 380 5 mm. The hammer is provided with a locking arrangement.

Point Load Index Tester

Point Load Index Tester, is used for determining the Diametral Point Load Strength Index of rock cores and irregular lumps which can be tested without any treatment. The Point Load Test is primarily an Index Test for strength classification of rock materials. This instrument is mainly intended for field measurements on rock specimen but it can also be used in the laboratory. The results of the test may also be used to predict the uniaxial compressive strength of rock from correlations. The apparatus is light and portable. It can be used in the laboratory as well as in the field.

Load Frames

Load Frames are Loading devices employed for application of compression and penetration loads required for various tests, such as Unconfined Compression Test, Triaxial Shear Test, California Bearing Ratio Test etc. The load application is effected by advancement of a lead screw secured against rotation by a sliding key and is measured with a Proving ring or Load Cell. Aimil manufactures a wide variety of Electro Mechanical to Microprocessor Load Frames with different designs of frame structure, modes of operation (manual or electrically driven), loading capacities, speeds of travel, so that appropriate selection is possible to meet the requirements of standard methods used for various tests to cover different soil types and sizes of specimens.

Unconfined Compression Tester

Determination of soil shear strength is essential for designing the foundation of structures, soil and soil retaining structures, soil slopes, etc., Shear strength of soil depends on various factors and insitu soil conditions. Therefore, when laboratory tests in soil are performed to evaluate shear strength of soil, the insitu soil conditions and other factors should be simulated for obtaining meaningful results. For example, the Unconsolidated Undrained test on soil will yield the undrained strength, which can be used for finding the immediate stability of an excavation,
