Solar Street Lighting System is an ideal lighting system for the illumination of streets & squares and cross roads located in areas that are not connected to the power grid. The standalone solar photovoltaic street lighting system comprises of a Solar PV module for battery charging, rechargeable lead acid battery for storage, Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) or Light Emitting Diodes (LED’s) as light source, suitable electronic control circuits for the operation of the lamp and safe guard to the battery charging & discharging and hard-ware like pole, battery box etc. for fixing of these sub systems.

A solar home lighting system (SHS), converts solar energy into electricity and provides a comfortable level of illumination in one or more rooms of a house. There are several SHS models featuring one, two, or four CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps). The system could also be used to run a small DC fan or a 12-V DC television along with the CFL (s).The SHS consists of a PV module of 18, 37 or 74 Wp capacity, a lead-acid battery (of 12 V and 20, 40 or 75 AH capacity respectively) and CFLs of 9 W or 11 W rating. The system is designed to work for three to four hours daily, with an autonomy of three days i.e. the system can function for three consecutive cloudy days. A PV module is usually mounted on the roof of the house or any other convenient place so that it is exposed to direct solar radiation throughout the day, avoiding any shadow. The module converts incident solar radiation into electricity, which, in turn, charges the battery. The battery is placed inside the house. The battery provides power to the CFLs, and or the television fan as required. A charge controller prevents overcharging and deep discharge of the battery.

Aditya Solar Lantern comprises of Solar module, Battery, Electronics (PCB), CFL lamp, covered with high transparent chimney (optional) and fitted in ABS housing. The Solar Lantern is a portable light unit suitable for either indoor or outdoor covering 360° of omni light for daily use. The Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) module provided with each lantern, it charges the Sealed Maintenance Free (SMF) battery which is fitted inside the lantern when the SPV module exposed to sunlight. The battery will supply power to the Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) whenever required.
