Rotating Head for Shaped Punches, Shaped toolings have a shorter life than round toolings. One of the major reasons is that the wear & tear of the underside of the punch head results in weight variation. To avoid this we have created a rotating head tooling so the punch head can rotate just like round tooling and avoid this wear and tear, thereby giving it longer life.

Like any machine, even a Tablet Press requires replacement of parts to ensure smooth and uninterrupted performance. We not only supply spares for Adept Tablet Press but also for other brands like Manesty, Stokes, Cadmach, etc.

Considering today's competitive scenario where tablets need to have a unique identity, evoke a certain emotional response and be difficult to copy, tablet designing has become a very important process. To cater to this we can and have in the past developed irregular shaped tooling. Some of the shapes we have made are almond, lion, bear, cat, star, and banana.

We have been manufacturing Tablet Compression Tools since our inception in 1969. In 1989 we decided to capitalise on our knowledge & expertise in manufacturing Punches & Dies to bring you Tablet Press. Apart from these we also manufacture turrets and spares for other makes of tablet compression machines

On prolonged usage, punches & dies, are likely to give rise to the following problems:

• Excessive weight variation
• Tablet hardness variation
• Excessive powder seepage from lower punch or collar formation
• Bending of small size punch tips caused by excessive compression pressure

These problems need to be adhered to in due time to avoid excessive damage later on. Our inspection kit can be used to identify the inconsistencies in tooling. We can check the following parameters:

• Working height uniformity of all punches
• Punch tip & body diameter
• Punch tip to body concentricity
• Die OD & Height
• Die bore go / no-go status

Metal feed frames, if not set properly lead to metal contamination and black particles in tablets. To address this problem, ADEPT has developed a feed frame made of Food Grade Co-Polymer. This ensures that the tablets don't have any metal particles from the feed frame.

The Auto Punch Polisher helps improve surface finish of punches which leads to:

• Better tablet finish
• Less sticking & corrosion
• Minimum production downtime

Tooling lose their original finish due to nature of formulation and usage. Normally, these are polished manually which is a time consuming and skill dependent process. The Auto Punch Polisher minimises skill requirement and increases productivity substantially.

The Ultrasonic Tool Cleaner provides an effective and efficient method for cleaning Punches & Dies and tablet press parts. Improper cleaning of Punches & Dies leads to product contamination and adversely effects tablet quality and tool life.

The Ultrasonic cleaning process ensures consistent cleaning of tools without manual intervention and any deterioration. Areas like intricate embossing, upper punch key ways, inside of die, etc are cleaned with same efficiency. Cleaning such areas manually is difficult and also time consuming. This process also reduces chances of damage as manual handling is minimised.

Stainless Steel Tooling Basket

The S.S. Tooling Basket has been designed to save time, reduce handling and prevent tool damage. It provides secure handling of tooling from Tablet Press to the Cleaning System to Storage Shelf. For maximum efficiency, the baskets can also be used for storage along with plastic box.

The Adept Mega Press has been designed keeping in mind Adepts philosophy of providing simple and efficient solution. The machine not only gives a higher output but also guarantees minimum breakdown and maintenance. Since every punch tip is very precise and accurate, slight wear & tear can result in production of dull or collared tablet. And hence, polishing of punch cavity is an important exercise to ensure reliability of the tooling process. Our punch cavity polishing kit helps you in acquiring the original cavity finish of your punches.

Out kit contains different types of brushes for different cavities & different types of pastes for varied application.

Since polishing is done to revive the original cavity finish, extreme care should be taken while doing it. One should avoid excessive or wrong polishing. The four most common errors while punch cavity polishing are:

• 'Rounding' of the outside diameter of the tip
• 'Rounding' of the edges of the tip face
• 'Distortion' of embossed details
• 'Distortion' of the tip face

Taking trials with different combinations of sample tooling on a single machine is a tough task for the R&D departments of pharmaceutical companies. To overcome this, we have developed a unique R&D turret. This turret consists of four stations of D-D, four stations of D-B, four stations of B-B and four stations of B-BB tooling.

We offer higher station turrets to help increase the production of your existing tablet press. All you need to do is change the turret (usually a less than 5 hour activity). The cam-plate and cam-tracks do not have to be changed if the tooling type remains same.

Our Double Rotary Press is available in both Open and GMP model. Currently more than 300 of our machines are producing tablets across the globe. Some of the key features of the Double Rotary press are: Drive shaft made of alloy steel to ensure longer working life.Turret Ring is detachable from the turret and thereby reducing replacement cost.Discharge chute and feed frame are independent of turret guards, thereby reducing cost of maintenance and also eases setting the feed frame.

Hence 'A' tooling was designed. The Adept 59 Press was designed to accommodate 59 stations of 'A' tooling in the same size as a 35stn B tooling press thereby increasing production by more than 65%. It gives an output of up to 200, 000 tablets per hour. The 'A' tooling has the body diameter of 12.7mm and can make up to 10mm tablets. The maximum permissible load is the same as 'B' tooling i.e. 6.5tons (65KN).

These are useful for products that require high surface area. Typically used for confectionery products. Also used for making Tablet-in-Tablet.

We offer 2 types of de-dusters: Elevating Model and Vibratory Model

For tablets that are small in size and are required to be manufactured in huge volumes, we provide multi-tip tooling. In these tooling more than one tip is accommodated on a single punch thereby increasing production substantially.

However using this tooling requires a lot of skill and does have shorter life than normal tooling. It is recommended ideally where the tablet size is very small, hence many tips can be accommodated which would help distribute the compression force over a larger area.
