FRP Filter Housings

It is acomposite materialmade of apolymermatrix reinforced withfibres. The fibres are usuallyglass(infibreglass), carbon(incarbon-fiber-reinforced polymer), aramid, orbasalt. Rarely, other fibres such as paper, wood, orasbestoshave been used. The polymer is usually anepoxy, vinylester, orpolyesterthermosetting plastic, thoughphenol formaldehyde resinsare still in use.

FRPs are commonly used in the aerospace, automotive, marine, and construction industries. They are commonly found in ballistic armor as well.

PP Filter Housings

We are engaged in offering an extensive range Molded Filter Housings that are made using polypropylene. These offer chemical compatibility in various applications and finds usage in residential and commercial areas. Also, Molded Filter Housings offer grater cartridge capacity that reduces the number of vessels required in parallel installation. These can be used in place of costly low pressure stainless steel vessels and are known for its chemical resistance. These filter housings are ideally suitable for mounting in series of Polypropylene Jumbo Molded Housings.

Features and Advantages:
  • Specially designed for higher flow rate
  • Easy mountable
  • Ideal substitute for costly low pressure SS housings
  • An extra large cartridge results in higher dirt holding capacity
  • Excellent chemical compatibility
  • Leak proof sealing
  • Wide range of chemical compatibility.
  • Thicker walls for more strength
  • Mounting holes provision
  • Lower pressure drop
  • Higher flow Rate
  • Lower Pressure drop
  • Air vent available
  • Product Durability, Stability & Reliability is higher in Polypropylene Construction.

UPVC Filter Housings

We were the pioneers in introducing UPVC housings in India. Unplasticized Poly Vinyl Chloride (UPVC) filter housings offer a few advantages over stainless steel housings in certain applications and conditions. There are situations where you have to deal with corrosive fluids with a certain economy, UPVC housings come in handy there. They are offered off-the-shelf, hence there is no manufacturing time.

One design brings the water in the top of a container through a header which distributes the water evenly. The filter media start with fine sand on the top and then graduatingly coarser sand in a number of layers followed by gravel on the bottom, in gradually larger sizes. The top sand physically removes particles from the water. The job of the subsequent layers is to support the finer layer above and provide efficient drainage.

As particles become trapped in the media, the differential pressure across the bed increases. Periodically, a backwash may be initiated to remove the solids trapped in the bed. During backwash, flow is directed in the opposite direction as normal flow. In multi-media filters, the layers in the media re-stratify due to density differences prior to resuming normal filtration.
