Contact SupplierWe Manufacture Reboilers Heat Exchangers are typically used to provide heat to the bottom of industrial distillation columns. They boil the liquid from the bottom of a distillation column to generate vapors which are returned to the column to drive the distillation separation. Image depicts a typical steam heated kettle reboiler. Kettle reboilers are very simple and reliable. They may require pumping of the column bottoms liquid into the kettle, or there may be sufficient liquid head to deliver the liquid into the reboiler.
In this reboiler type, steam flows through the tube bundle and exits and condensate. The liquid from the bottom of the tower, commonly called the bottoms, flows through the shell side. There is a retaining wall or overflow wall separating the tube bundle from the reboiler section where the residual rebolied liquid (called the bottoms product) is withdrawn, so that the tube bundle is kept covered with liquid. Manufactures Reboilers, especially for Process Chemical Industries with main focus on petrochemical units.
These reboilers are an accessory to a distillation column, where the back liquid from the column gets reboiled and sent to the column for separation. The typical material of construction is High Carbon Steel and the design pressure is as high as 30 bars. The manufacturing is done as per ASME and TEMA standards.
Advantages
1. Reboiler has a less-sensitive operation than vertical types.
2. More area can be placed in a single shell than with vertical units. Especially suited for large sizes and high duties.
3. Easier maintenance due to horizontal orientation.
4. More suitable for wide boiling mixtures.
